Here is a great preview clip of the upcoming episode of The Office set to air April 26, 2007 of Jim imitating Dwight.
Breaking News! A shooter has killed at least 31 people today on the Virginia Tech campus. I will constantly be updating content about the events that have occurred. Stay tuned to this page to get more video on the situation.
"Police say a gunman at Virginia Tech University has killed 31 [UPDATE: Now 33 people] people after he opened fire in a dorm and classroom. The gunman was killed, but it was unclear if he was shot by police or took his own life.
The first happened at a co-ed residence hall between 7:15 and 7:30 AM at West Ambler Johnston Dorm. This dormitory houses nearly 900 students. The gunfire continued about two hours later inside a classroom in Norris Hall, an engineering building." (Source)
Here is some video on the situation from a local news station. Click here (Windows Media). Click here if on a Mac.

Blog post from the boyfriend of victim, Katelyn Carney.
Victim talking about shooting:
Cell Phone video of the shooting as it took place. Although this video has the lowest quality it is the most horrifying of them all (especially after the guy ran into harms way to get more footage).

The creator of this video did a great job of splicing clips from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy with the audio portion of the 300 trailer. He did a great job with two fantastic movies.
I just found this great video that outlines some new key elements of one of the most anticipated games ever - Halo 3. Check it out if you are a die hard fan.
Heroes is a personal favorite to me so it gives me great satisfaction in providing this preview for the new episode set to come April 23, 2007. This trailer seems to pose a ton of questions and I'll let you ask away in the comments if you would like. I can't wait!
I absolutely cannot stand Bill O'Reilly and his antics so I love to see him lose his cool and show his real side. If you like Bill O'Reilly and disagree with me then tell me why in the comments but I just can't stand the guy and love to see him get told off by Geraldo Rivera of all people!
Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory may have thrown the worst opening day pitch. Ever. In all of baseball history. Watch the embarrassing moment here and be sure to check out the mayor's response in the second video.
At least he was a good sport about it and joked about it.
Just totally gnarly man. Like just woooo, dudeeee. Absolutely one of the sickest waves I've ever seen is right here in this video. If I'm not mistaken I believe I've seen this before in a movie I saw called Wave Riders (?) although I'm not really sure.
Man, this kid is just at the right place at the right time and has some incredible luck. How else do you explain getting a Nintendo Wii from a Stacker Machine? Especially, since he probably payed just a dollar to play.
Personally, I hate the "My Humps" song by the Black Eyed Peas and I think this cover by Alanis Morissette does a great job of satirizing the song and what it is all about. I can't stand how the actual "My Humps" song has no real meaning and I don't believe it can be considered art at all. This cover does a great job of puttin a spin on the song which makes the people and the "artists" that create it (as shown by the people in the video) in a sad light and is heard through this very melodramatic song.

Move your eyes just like the video says and you will see (quite possibly) the best Double Kill in all of Halo 2. It's quite remarkable and I would love to try this with my friends if at all possible. I can't believe they got it on video.
President Bush at the Radio and TV Correspondents Dinner had the chops to make fun of himself a little bit and all the recent rumblings that the Bush administration has faced. I especially loved how MSNBC had the idiocy to retype jokes near the bottom of the scene. I think I just heard the joke guys. I don't think I need it read to me as well.
John McCain's MySpace (aka one of his interns) page got hacked and it was widely publicized across the web and even made it to the Daily Show. Incredibly hysterical and the typical great clip from Jon Stewart and the Gang.
The uploader of this video, Paul, does a great job giving a quick synopsis using The Sopranos video clips and his own voice over to tell you everything you need to know about The Sopranos Seasons 1-6 to get you prepped for the upcoming final season to premiere on April 8th. Personally, I've seen every season so far of The Sopranos and I love it. This show is just amazing and this Paul Gulyas does a great job with the synopsis and covers everything I could think of.
JibJab, the creators of the incredibly popular video This Land from a couple of years ago, has come up with another great spoof of American culture and this time it comes in the form of the news. Personally, I cannot stand cable news as everything is incredibly biased and every time I switched to it I see Anna Nicole Smith instead of (gasp!) news.
P.S. on a side note I think JibJab should edit their embedded player because that thing just looks awful. I'm a sucker for good looking GUIs so I hate to see a video in something like this.
Conan O'Brien seems to have found a new girl all for himself (yes he is married folks) and he just picked out of the audience. Or did she pick him? I don't know, check the video to find out.
Actor Eddie Griffin was test driving an Enzo Ferrari for an upcoming charity event and then he lost control and absolutely totals the extremely expensive car that is worth more then my house. What a horrific accident and all of it was caught on tape.
Wow. Just plain wow. Peyton Manning hosted Saturday Night Live last night and this skit he did is absolutely hilarious. The comedy itself is astounding and coming from the normally perfect and gentlemanly Peyton Manning it makes it even more funny.

If you can't tell by my extensive Demetri Martin postings (here, here, and here) I really love his comedy. Some of the stand up repeats from one of my other posts but there is a ton of new content in this video. Also, I definitely like the picture montage thing that the poster has done with the video.
Colbert doesn't think issuing subpoenas is enough. On last night's Report, Stephen challenged Democrats, saying that if they really want to go toe-to-toe with President Bush they should grow some cajones and impeach him.

The Office is coming back on April 5th and I can't wait. Here is a video montage of clips from The Office directly from NBC. The new content is near the end but make sure to watch the whole video to relive some of the best clips ever. I cannot wait until April 5th and see the newest episode. Regardless though, I'm still pretty gruntled.
This is the wonderful Top secret drum corps from Basel Switzerland. This is there new show that was preformed at the Basel tattoo this year. Just absolutely amazing.
I saw this episode once a long time ago and I loved this clip. I was just watching Seinfeld, ironically, and thought of this clip and lo and behold I found it on YouTube. Here is Jerry Seinfeld's great response to a telemarketer that calls at the wrong time (don't they always). Man, I wish I do this the next time a telemarketer calls my house.
Ali G, played by Sacha Baron Cohen (aka Borat), interviews some protesters over abortion and gets some hilarious results. Da Ali G Show is another famous output of Sacha Baron Cohen and you have to see it to get it.
Borat, one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while, has become somewhat of a cultural phenom in the U.S. and here he is on NBC's Saturday Night Live. Just plain hilarious!
This kid has got some serious lyrical skills. Watch his send out a doozy called 3.14 Apple Pi. It's an extremely funny gangsta rap with a guitar by a white kid. Sounds funny, doesn't it?
A terrific parody of how the writers of Lost come up with their incredibly weird ideas. I watch the show religiously and I must admit that the plots are insane and the writers never really solve anything. This is an amazing parody of all those writers of Lost and how they come up with their ideas for the show.
On what appears to be some French show this guy goes on an all out rampage using his vocal box and a little thing called beat boxing.
While lonelygirl15 was on the run, this guy sneaks in her room to perform his brand new song "lonelygirl". It is a great song that mocks the lonelygirl15 drama/saga.
Here is a time lapse video of a painting in photoshop that took 3 hours of work but only takes 5 minutes to watch. It really is an amazing job of creating a painting of John Locke from Lost.
I usually don't watch Saturday Night Live anymore mainly because it isn't that funny anymore. However, they have come up with some great things recently such as Lazy Sunday and My Di*k in a Box and I was extremely happy to see that Rainn Wilson, the actor that plays Dwight on The Office, was chosen as the host of SNL. Here is a funny monologue from the beginning of the show.

This is an absolutely horrific event that occurred when the soccer club, Chelsea FC, played Arsenal and John Terry got...Well watch to find out but let me just say that I gave an aloud "Ouch" when watching this.
Will Ferrell with a dazzle of Jack Black at the Oscars in a Tribute to Comedians. Need I say more?
I never watch The Ellen DeGeneres Show but I saw this clip on YouTube and I was dying of laughter. This 88 year old woman (I think she's 88) gets a call from Ellen and she turns out to be hilarious. I love this clip.
If you are a fan of NBC's Heroes like I am then you are bound to like this parody of it. It's a great sketch that produces some excellent results.
Russell Peters is probably the best Indian comedian out there and here are two hilariously funny standup comedy clips on beating your kids and just random stuff in the other one. Note: there is some language in these clips. Great standup comedy that you just have got to see:
In an attempt to promote the upcoming new show The Black Donnellys NBC is offering up the pilot episode for free viewing on Yahoo TV.
The Black Donnellys is a new dramatic television program coming to NBC in the United States and to Global Television Network in Canada during the Spring of 2007. It has been confirmed that it will premiere on Monday, February 26 at 10 p.m., taking over Studio 60's time slot while that show is on hiatus. The show follows four young Irish-American brothers in New York's infamous Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and their involvement with organized crime. The show is from the makers of the Oscar winning movie for Best Picture, Crash [source].
You can watch the pilot episode for free here.
Bob Dylan, the lyrical genius, wrote every popular song in the past 30 years. It is a fact and is well documented. Watch the mockumentary to find out more.
I think it is my personal duty to tell everyone about The Office because, in my opinion, it is the best show on television. Here are some incredibly funny bloopers from NBC's The Office.
Here is a great clip from one of my favorite shows, Seinfeld. The song is a parody of the Greatest American Hero theme song and really exemplifies the craziness and yada yada yada that makes Seinfeld great.
Here is clip from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno's brought to you by NBC and YouTube. I just had to show this video strictly for the last part. Absolutely hysterical!
You can see a great side of Presidential hopeful, Barack Obama with this video where it shows his great sense of humor.
Here is some new leaked Halo 3 footage from the beta. The video quality is terrible and is most likely from a cellphone but the video still gives some great insight into the game and specifically the interface.
Silicon Valley is known for buzz words. Right now the current buzz word is Web 2.0. Many people have heard of the term but few actually know what it is. This video gives a clear cut view at what Web 2.0 does. The thought process is amazing and this is one of my favorite videos.
I was surfing MetaCafe when I saw this. Some real proof that the moon is made of cheese. Just watch!
I thought this was a sweet trick. All you need is a bowl of water, pepper, and dishwashing liquid. Check it out!

I'm a huge fan of Mac OS X and one of the best things about it is that you can boost your productivity three times over. There are some great tips and tricks that you can use on the mac to boost your productivity as shown by this video. Most importantly, I think this should video should be seen by Windows users as well because you can see some amazing stuff that you can't do on Windows. I'm not trying to switch anyone; I'm just trying to provide you with the facts.
These are some scary clips from Mary Poppins; it's kind of weird how different music can change your view on things. Pretty cool to watch. I don't think I'll ever watch Mary Poppins the same way (not that i watch it regularly).
Conan O'Brien had Serena Williams, the great tennis star, on his show and challenged her to some Tennis. Nintendo Wii Tennis in fact! Watch Conan own her.
Here is a video making fun of how you really don't even have to move the Wiimote to actually be successful on the Nintendo Wii. So if you are one of those Wii gamers that gets incredibly into the workout of the Wii then let this just prove that effort does not equal results. This guy could beat you any day.
John McCain, a Presidential Candidate-to-be, is a flip flopper. It's what lost John Kerry the election in 2004 and I think it could make John McCain lose in 2008. He has a knack for flip flopping as proven by this video. I hope this video changes some people's minds about him. If you don't agree with my stance then post in the comments on why.
Bill Gates was recently on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart promoting the Windows Vista operating system. In an extremely rude manner, he left as soon as the interview was over while the show was still taping. Let's just say that Jon Stewart got him back.

I love HBO's Entourage so when this video appeared before my eyes I instantly knew that I was going to post this video. Jeremy Piven plays Ari Gold, an agent, on the Entourage and his acting is brilliant and his one-liners are even better. The comedy is priceless and everyone in the world should watch this show specifically for Jeremy Piven's acting.

This is a compilation of bike stunts from the popular video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I don't want to know how long this took. It's pretty cool though. I wanna try a few of these just to get on top of and bazooka some police down below. :P.
Bill Gates appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night to promote the launch of Windows Vista. It's a pretty historic day in Windows land because Windows users have had to wait 5 years for this release. Gates says in the interview that 5 years is just a little long but really it is forever.
Personally, I'm a Mac guy myself and I don't really care for Vista. Honestly, I think Windows Vista is just a copy of Mac OS X. Disagree? Tell me why in the comments and I'll at least hear you out (and Mac guys back me up!).

Last Thursday, I reported that Google Video would soon convert to a search-engine only of video and let YouTube take care of the user generated content. Google Video is already now letting you search for videos and YouTube will appear.
Shortly after the addition of YouTube results the numbers for YouTube spiked. Prior to the integration, YouTube received .54% of all U.S. Internet visits and after the integration they received .64% of all U.S. internet visits. This represents a growth of 18.5% for one week. On the first day of the integration Google Video became responsible for 8.68% of all YouTube traffic compared to .73% prior to the integration. In comparison, MySpace is responsible for 17.54% of YouTube's traffic.
Thanks to Hitwise for all the info.
Coming off the heels of the announcement that YouTube will soon be sharing ad revenues with producers, I have learned of some less exciting news. It turns out that past all the big sharing ad revenue news there is a dark, dark secret. YouTube has confirmed that they will start placing ads before videos. The length of the ads has not been determined as of yet. However, this statement was given to the BBC, "Mr Hurley said a clip of three seconds length was one of the options, although the details had not been worked out yet."
One of the reasons why I think YouTube is so successful is that prior to them the big online video guys were Yahoo and MSN. I used to hate watching videos on those sites because they would always have ads right before the video. This bugged the hell out of me as I'm sure it did everyone else. Then YouTube came along and shook the video world.
I'm all for providing revenue to producers and I think it is a great idea. However, I think that placing ads is an extremely idiotic system and it degrades the YouTube experience. The great thing about online video right now is that there is instant gratification. Someone can send you a link to a video and you can instantly watch it. I don't want to wait 30 seconds before I see a video. I don't even want to wait 3.
YouTube please grow some brains and learn that NO ONE wants ads before videos. I wouldn't mind an ad at the end of the video like Revver does and I hope that YouTube takes this route instead of before the video. I think that YouTube should just stick with the banner and contextual ads that they have going and stop there. Don't let this ad thing get out of hand, YouTube.
If this is the price of payment for giving money to producers then I don't want even that. Don't diminish the quality of videos by sticking ads before them, YouTube. Stick with your current model and DON'T add ads before the videos. Keep YouTube great and not some big commercialized giant.
I've never seen this trick before but it is great application of multiplication at work. Basically, you do multiplication with drawings. See if you can figure it out.
This video is for any guy out there that has ever had to go to a mall and wait on your girlfriend, wife, sister, mom, whoever. This one guy gets really bored in the mall and starts pulling some mall pranks on people. The results are absolutely hilarious. And if you're a girl then you should find this funny too so you should watch it. I love this video so watch it!

This is a cool little thing I found while surfing YouTube. I'm not sure how the guy did it, but it's pretty sweet and worth the 1 and a half million views it's gotten so far. You've gotta see this one:
Stukdog, the user that created this video, did an excellent job clipping together a bunch of The Office clips and making a trailer for The Office Drama. The Office really isn't a comedy folks. No, it is a drama movie coming in Summer of 2008. There is a murder and it is bound to be a suspenseful nail-biter. Check out the trailer here:
Rush Hour was quite possibly one of the funniest movies of all time that I've seen at least 20 times. Rush Hour 2 was good as well (although it couldn't top the first) and now I can't wait until the third one will come. I love the very beginning of this trailer when it starts talking about France. They get owned.
In Iowa, the Star Spangled Banner was playing and Hillary Clinton joined in with the singing. Sadly, though she is a terrible singer and is tone deaf so essentially it makes some good ol' fashioned comedy - American Idol style. Simon Cowell would go postal on Clinton in an instant.

I remember watching the State of the Union and Nancy Pelosi's incessant blinking drove me crazy. I was watching her eyes more then the President. Case in point:

Watch and see how Cheney's starts smiling as George Dubbya Bush starts talking about foreign oil. I'm not really sure if Cheney is evil (although many tend to think so) but it seems like he is smiling because he doesn't believe America's dependence on foreign oil will go down. Then again he could be smiling at a baby in the front row. We'll never know.

This is an extremely moving documentary about a man who must overcome adversity after a mistake during surgery. You gotta love Smosh and my favorite is the song portion. Hilarious!
I've always hoped that YouTube would pay producers some of the money that it makes. My reasoning is that making videos takes a lot of time, effort, and money. Chad Hurley said today that YouTube would eventually begin to pay video creators. Jeff Jarvis was able to catch the statement on video and naturally he posted it on YouTube.
I can't wait to see this happen for real so stay tuned to the VideoWrap for more details as soon as I get them.

Google has decided to make its Google Video service a search-only site while YouTube will be primary hosters of content. After Google announced its acquisition of YouTube in November, 2006 everyone wondered what would happen to Google Video, a clear competitor to YouTube. Google has made its play deciding that YouTube will be the hosters of content while Google Video will be a search engine of videos including links to YouTube.
My question is will there be other videos on Google Video besides just YouTube? Will there be support for Metacafe, Yahoo Video (doubtful), Revver, and Break? YouTube has this annoying policy of taking down videos such as the Sacha Baron Cohen Golden Globe Speech so I could see a search engine of all the video sites being extremely useful whenever I need to replace a YouTube-taken down video. YouTube is supposed to be completely independent of Google so I'm wondering if Google will slant Google Video results towards YouTube or not.
Another question I'm having about this project is why would I go to Google Video to find a video when I can use YouTube's built-in search feature? What will Google Video offer me over YouTube?
The ploy is that Tiger left a golf club on the course and returns to get it back. He then asks them if they want to play a little golf over a friendly little wager. See what happens next as Tiger Woods shocks a group of golfers.
Here is another way to get free drinks at your local bar/pub. It's a hustler's trick and it works mighty fine as shown by the video.

I really feel that YouTube is just about the best thing in the world for Saturday Night Live. First, there was Lazy Sunday and then there was My D**k in a box and finally there was Really!?! Ok, this video is either going to make you very very mad or laugh hysterically. This is a song created by 'Donnie Davis' called "The Bible Says" that is bound to catch fire soon. Essentially, it is making fun of the evangelical right in this United States and although you may disagree with it I think it is freaking hilarious and I love the video.
A lot of people are questioning whether this video is a real music video and song. I'm pretty sure it isn't and it is just a really well done parody. If you hate this song or love it then let me know in the comments.
[Update] Just about 20 minutes after I posted this video YouTube took all of these videos and took them off their site. This is freedom of speech in my opinion and it is sad to see those rights go away. Of course, I don't really expect 'Donnie Davis' to sue such a big corporation like YouTube. But anyways, I found the video at Break so here it is and please post a comment if this video gets taken down so I can find a new one.

D.L Hughley was on the Tonight Show promoting his show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (which I recommend) and he began talking about Michael Richards, aka Kramer, and his use of the N word. His comedy is hilarious and I enjoyed it so I thought you might too so check it out.

Tennis is a hard game to master. Now think about playing tennis on a helipad 320 meters above the ground (about .2 miles). I would hate to have to be the ball boy for this one...
I think this guy is even funny then the last American Idol video I posted which is really saying something. I kind of feel bad for the kid after what Simon Cowell says but it is still pretty funny. I think the thoughts on videos like this are polar opposites. People either love it as comedy or they feel bad for the people and then get mad at those that laugh at the videos. Guess which group I'm in.

I love the Colbert Report. Sadly, I don't get to watch it all that often which is why YouTube is amazing. Here is a funny clip from the Colbert Report. Colbert is awesome and apparently invincible.

Wow. American Idol is a cult hit and even though I have never really gotten into the show I do occassionally like to see some terrible performances that are just absolutely hysterical. This is by far the funniest American Idol performance in the history of American Idol. You just cannot miss this performance.
I love how NBC serves up some of their content on YouTube and I personally wish that some of the other networks would join suit (I'm talking to you ABC and FOX). This video is of a new segment on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update called Really!?! The first one starts off with Michael Vick. I was debating whether or not to post this video because I don't know if it is funny enough so let me know what you think by posting a comment and tell me what you think.

A Martial Arts guy jumps over 14 people using physics and the proper way to roll. This is crazy and the guy doesn't even get hurt or anything. If I tried to do this I think I would hit the sixth person and some how break every bone in my body.
The guys from Smosh produce some really great and original content and I absolutely love their videos. These guys are the only user that I am subscribed to so that is really saying something. This video is entitled Axe Murderer so check it out.
After the cult hit Rollin' with Saget, Jamie Kennedy has released a new video called Circle Circle Dot Dot. This time he creates a stop motion video with the help of director Nate Burr. Stop motion seems to be all the rage nowadays and this video looks great. As for the song, it isn't meant for all ages (when is rap ever?) so this is my warning.

Simon Cowell appeared as a guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and boy was that a mistake. He gets judged on how well he does as a guest and the the judges are hilarious (especially the last one, don't worry I won't ruin the surprise).
This is by far one of the funniest skits on Saturday Night Live ever. Darrell Hammond played Sean Connery while Will Ferrell played Alex Trebek. The Sean Connery scenes were the absolute best and I found three great highlight clips that are bound to leave you laughing constantly. Guaranteed! I love these two so don't miss them!
This last one has some of the same stuff overlapped from the previous two videos but it is extended and has even more funny clips. You gotta love it!

Stephen Colbert on the AT&T acquisition of Bellsouth. Gotta love the Colbert Report. 'Nuff said.

In a strategy similar to John Edwards' Barack Obama has announced his candidacy for the Presidency in 2008. Here is his announcement video. What do you guys think about him? Yay or nay?
Sacha Baron Cohen won the Golden Globe last night for Best Actor in a Comedy and boy was his speech memorable. I think I was laughing for about five minutes straight. And then I watched it again. I love this video!
If you don't know who Demetri Martin is, he is a funny comedian who does the series Trendspotting on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. This is some hilarious standup of his that I just love.
If you want to see some more great Demetri Martin then click here and here.

This is by far the best way to quit your job - ever. I wish I did this with my job.
This right here is what makes YouTube so great. I went to YouTube trying to find some great videos and I got kind of bored with what was on the featured page so I just picked one randomly hoping to see something good. Turns out that I found a really crazy guy who can draw a perfect circle freehand. Supposedly, it is some competition and I must say that it looks amazing.

Recent Donald Trump vs. Rosie O'Donnell feuds have caused others to start wanting some free publicity causing Conan O'Brien to join in on the action by taking down Joy Behar. Man I love Conan O'Brien. The best late night host on television!
Holding so many songs you can't even imagine, and as many contacts as the earth can hold, here is the iPhone. Steve Jobs with a special presentation on NBC's Saturday Night Live

Here is a funny video of what Microsoft's reply to Apple's iPhone would look like. I really think the bluetooth could one day come true. That would be so awesome!
P.S. I answered the call from the future.
I recently posted a news article on how a Brazilian judge ordered the shutdown of YouTube. Brazil decided to prevent users from viewing YouTube and let's just say that it got a few people mad.
YouTube spokewoman Jaime Schopflin stated, "We trust that Brazilian authorities have recognized our efforts to remove all copies of the video, and we will continue to do so as we become aware that it has been reposted."
As long as YouTube will continue to take down the videos Brazil will allow their citizens to view YouTube. Hooray, YouTube!
Apple released the iPhone yesterday at Macworld if you didn't already know (aka living under a rock). The circle in the video represents your finger. The only phone is a touchscreen and I just wish I had the money to get this thing.
iPhone site here.
The Cowboys were headed to the next round of the playoffs. All they had to do was kick a field goal and would be up by 2. Destiny had other ideas. Watch how Tony Romo, the golden child blew it. I feel terrible for the guy, I do, but he has got to make that play. The first is the video of the play and the second is his comments on the play.
This guy, and a hilariously evil one at that, prank IMs his roommate's girlfriend on IM. He dumps her and hilarity ensues. I was cracking up during the video and yes I was lol.
TubeSock is a great shareware program ($15) for Mac OS X that has even more features then the previously profiled PodTube. TubeSock is a wonderfully designed program built for the Mac and not only thinks of your precious iPod but also your PlayStation Portable as well as your computer. Heck, TubeSock even thinks of your non-video iPods such as your iPod nano, shuffle, or iPod Mini (the audio is taken from the videos. You still won't be able to watch the videos but you can listen).
The way TubeSock works is by asking for the URL or YouTube video ID. Then you choose the settings that you want it to be in. You pick from video for iPod, video for PSP, audio only, video for mac, and video for Flash. A great feature that I love is you can preview the video. That way you can make sure you are downloading the right video and not something else.
Then you can either add it to iTunes, add to movies folder, or pick a folder. The thing that I like with the movies folder option is that it adds support for Front Row. You can just use your remote and watch your favorite YouTube videos straight from there which is a plus.
Also, the app comes with a bookmark script for your browser (Safari or Firefox) so if you are on YouTube and watching a video then you can just click the bookmark and it will place the video into TubeSock and you can start converting that sucker.
Although the app appears golden from what I've said so far it does have some problems. First, the actually look of the program and the icon aren't so spectacular. The brushed metal is out of style and although it is what PodTube also uses, PodTube is in a much smaller package. Furthermore, when testing I had some troubles using the preview function and one time it wouldn't even recognize the youtube url. On top of it all the app is $15 and speaking from experience many people just aren't willing to pay that much for an app that they could basically have the same process done for free.
TubeSock is a comprehensive set for Taking YouTube Videos With You but there are still other options available. Stay tuned to the VideoWrap for the continuing series How to Take YouTube Videos With You. Don't forget that at the end of the series I will compare and contrast all the different solutions provided. Next up are some websites that can do the trick and some Windows solutions for all the Windows guys and gals.
I love this video although there is some profanity. Here are three guys that are inside your iPod and want to tell you a couple of things. If your iPod could talk these are some of the things it might say:
This, my friends, is how you hustle your way into how to get free drinks for a lifetime. All you have to do is a little bit of hustling and you are on your way to free beverages. This is one video you can't miss.
Here is a funny reply to a funny SNL parody that I recently posted on the VideoWrap. The SNL video was called a D*ck in a Box (please be of age before watching). This video is a girl's reply called My Box in a Box. Both videos are funny but parental discretion is advised if you know what I mean.
Two Iraqi Justice Ministry guards are being questioned after a execution video (here) was posted on various websites. The execution video was the only known video of the actual execution of once-feared dictator Saddam Hussein. Sami al-Askari, an adviser to Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki said recently, "The investigation committee is interrogating the men. If it is found that any official was involved, he will face legal measures.''
A second al-Maliki adviser, who spoke based on the condition of anonymity to the AP, stated that an arrest has already been made. The man in question is a guard who was in the gallows during the execution and used his cellphone to take a video. Presumably, he then uploaded the video to a website and the story broke like wildfire.
The video may be seen here.
A judge in Brazil has ordered the shutdown of YouTube after a celebrity sex video kept being uploaded. The video involves Brazilian model Daniela Cicarelli and her boyfriend, Tato Malzoni on a beach. After the video appeared on YouTube, Cicarelli requested that YouTube take down the video and YouTube has complied.
However, users continue to upload the video. Eventually, the Brazilian couple sued YouTube asking for the video to be taken down and YouTube with it. The judge ruled in favor of the couple and has since ordered YouTube to shut down.
Most likely, YouTube will not be shut down because as Google, the owner of YouTube, operates in the U.S. they follow the laws of the U.S. and not Brazil. The only way YouTube could be shut down is if a U.S. court rules in favor of the Brazilian court which is doubtful to occur. Brazil could bar all Brazilians from viewing YouTube if they feel passionately on the topic but that won't do much to stop the rest of the world from viewing the videos.
If YouTube could have solved their content identification problem then they might not be in this mess...
I recently posted the first part of our series How to Take YouTube Video With You. Since then however I haven't posted anything. Don't fret everyone, I am in the process of testing out and compiling a list of all the different products available. I've been looking into Windows, Mac, and Web solutions.
I will try and post Part II sometime soon although most likely I will post it by Saturday.
Please stay tuned to the VideoWrap on How to Take YouTube Videos With You. Thanks for all your support.
After posting the video of the highlights of the 4th quarter and overtime of the Boise State Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl, I just couldn't stop there (after all it is one of the biggest games ever). I mentioned in my past post that Boise State running back Ian Johnson proposed to his girlfriend and I wanted to post a video of it. However, the Fox reporter botches the proposal (what an idiot)...see how:
This is a great recap of quite possibly the best game ever in college football history. Boise State vs. Oklahoma state in the Fiesta Bowl 2007 will be talked about for ages. Don't miss the final plays that made it an amazing game by watching it here. I finally found a video that shows the game from the near end of the fourth quarter to the last overtime play so here it is in its entirety.
P.S. Boise State's running back Ian Johnson proposed to his girlfriend, a cheerleader, after the game. She said yes.
I usually don't post videos from myspace mainly because I prefer sites that just do videos and nothing else (stick with what you're good at, right?) but here is a great clip of a prank gone horribly wrong.
A crazy guy runs through a busy intersection; what an idiot, but hey he planned it perfectly as he made it through. Just unbelievable to watch.
Here is an excerpt from an MSNBC article about YouTube's failure to create content identification software as a means for anti-piracy. This is the first half of the article if you read this and are interested in reading the rest of the article then go here.
YouTube's failure to complete a key piece of anti-piracy software as promised could represent a serious obstacle to efforts by Google, its new owner, to forge closer relations with the media and entertainment industry.
The video website, the internet sensation of 2006, promised in September the software would be ready by the end of this year. Known as a "content identification system", the technology is meant to make it possible to track down copyrighted music or video on YouTube, making it the first line of defence against piracy on the wildly popular website.
YouTube said on Friday the technology would not be formally launched this year and YouTube's offices were closed until the new year. While providing no further details about when the system would be made formally available, it said tests of the system had been under way with some media companies since October and the system remained "on track".
